Hello

My name is Connor Strand, I started Strand U.S. my senior year of high school at the age of 18. I have always dreamed of running my own business ever since a young age. I have had quite a few different ventures; from mailbox maintenance at 10 years old, starting a marketplace for sneaker heads at 12, to an aerial photo and video drone business at 14. While It has been clear that I have a passion for business, I also have a passion for helping and making others happy. I have made it my mission to bridge the gap between business and spreading happiness to others. That is what Strand U.S. stands for.

My Story

How It All Started

Strand U.S. didn’t begin with some big plan or business blueprint—it started with me painting my neighbor’s shutters one summer. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but that small job opened my eyes to something bigger. With help from my family, I realized there was a real need for services like that—simple, honest, high-quality work that people could count on.

I felt like I had found something real, something I could build on. But time was a factor. My business was seasonal—being in New York, the window for outdoor work was short—and I was about to start my first year of college, along with my first season playing college football. Sports had always been a big part of my life. They taught me a lot—discipline, leadership, how to push through when things get tough. Honestly, those same lessons started showing up in business, too.

That first year of school flew by. Before I knew it, summer was back—and this time I was ready to level up. I worked hard to grow the business, take on more jobs, and figure out what it meant to actually run something. It felt good. Like I was building something that mattered. But when football season rolled around again, something just felt off. I’d fought hard to earn my spot, but deep down, I knew my passion was shifting. I didn’t just want to play—I wanted to live and create. I wanted more freedom, more creativity, and new challenges. So I made the call to hang up my cleats and transfer schools.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t consider dropping out and going all-in on my business right then and there. That voice has always been in my head. But I stuck with school and decided to find a way to balance both. I moved to Tampa, switched majors, and hit reset. The sunshine, the energy—it gave me a fresh start. I met people who were also chasing growth, and that pushed me to keep going.

Running Strand U.S. from over a thousand miles away was a whole new kind of challenge. I had to figure out how to stay connected, keep the quality high, and make sure the business was ready for its biggest season yet. That summer before my junior year, was a game-changer. We helped more people than ever, and I started to really feel what this business could become.

Now, as I write this, I’m finishing my last month of school. It feels weird to say that—school’s been part of my life for as long as I can remember—but this next chapter is the one I'm ready for. No more juggling classes and exams. It’s full focus now. Every season is our season.

I’m here to take Strand U.S. to a whole new level— with the goal of serving hundreds of thousands of homes and properties, making them all shine, and putting smiles on faces along the way. This is just the beginning.
